CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Hannah Lee has been selected for the second team Division III Women’s At-Large Academic All- American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Lee grew up in Clarksville and graduated from Clarksville High in 2012. Prior to college, she trained in gymnastics for 12 years under Larry Corrigan at Clarksville Elite Gymnastics Center and earned several state titles.

Lee continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She will graduate this fall with a bachelor’s in English and Spanish. Hannah finished the fall semester with a 3.95 GPA.

According to The Official Athletic Website of the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, Lee is the fourth Academic All-American in program history and the third in the last four years. She is one of only three gymnasts at Division III institutions to earn Academic All-America accolades this season.

In order to be eligible for Academic All- American student athletes must be named to an Academic All- American Deistic First team, have a 3.3 GPA or higher, and participate in at least 50 percent of their teams contest.

Along with her academic successes Lee was involved in her campus community as well. She served as co-founder and co-president of UW-Whitewater’s I AM THAT GIRL chapter, and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also volunteered her time to work with Let’s Move Girls program and the annual Breast Cancer 5k walk/run.
