CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Liberty Park’s sports field was the site of the first lacrosse tournament in Clarksville on March 21. The Clarksville Kings Middle School Lacrosse Team played a three team round robin against the Harpeth Indians and the Bowling Green Lacrosse club.

The day began with Harpeth versus Clarksville. This was not the first time these two teams had met. Last year they played twice, splitting their wins. Clarksville lead for most of the game but Harpeth charged hard and tied the game 6-6 in the Third quarter. Clarksville Kings would change the tide back in their favor and finish the game 8-6. Stone Norris (#33) would lead his team with four goals that game.

Harpeth then played Bowling Green to finish out their day. Although having just played, the Harpeth Indians were ready for another fight. Bowling Green competed for the first time against the Indians, not knowing what to expect. They quickly realized it would be an uphill battle. Harpeth came out strong and fast with a score of 4-0. However, by the second half, Bowling Green had scored two goals and was charging to regain the ground they had lost. In the end, Harpeth won 6-2.

Clarksville played Bowling Green to finish out the tournament. Clarksville played strong and ended the day with a victory over Bowling Green 10-0. Stone Norris led the day with 8 goals. Six other Kings would score goals to lead the Kings in 2-0 record in the first ever Lacrosse Tournament in Clarksville.

The event brought over 150 people to Liberty Park for a great day of Lacrosse.
