CLARKSVILLE., Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A Clarksville home was badly damaged when storms toppled a tree and cut through the roof and into the home on Hickory Grove Blvd.
The incident occurred just after 1:00 pm Monday as storms swept through the mid state with driving winds and pounding rain.
There were no reported injuries, but the home to a family of four will not be inhabitable due to the damage that exposed the interior of the home.
According to Clarksville Fire Rescue, The American Red Cross has been contacted and will provide assistance. A neighbor also offered to house the family during repairs.
According to Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Ed Baggett, a home on Tyler Town Rd. also had a hole knocked in the roof by a tree.
