CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – For the third consecutive season, Clarksville High senior guard Imari Berry has been named a finalist for the Miss Basketball award at the 4A class level.

Berry has made an everlasting impact on the Lady Wildcats program, including helping lead the team to a perfect record of 22-0 up to this point in the season. With one game left against Henry County this Friday, Clarksville High has a chance to finish the regular season undefeated.

“Imari has worked hard at her craft and still manages to find ways to get better every day,” said Clarksville High head coach Brian Rush. “Her joy for the game is infectious and she has become a great leader in our program.”

Berry is rated as one of the highest recruits out of the class of 2024, including at one point being ranked seventh overall. However, in a recent change of events, the five-star recruit dropped to 12 on the rankings, according to ESPN.

Berry committed to play for the Clemson Tigers women’s basketball team in August of 2023 as she continues her athletic career as a student-athlete. Through the eyes of Clemson’s head coach Amanda Butler, she believes the sky is the limit for Berry as she prepares to play at the collegiate level this fall.

Throughout the 2023-24 season, Berry has averaged 24.8 points per game, 6.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 4.6 steals and has made 61 total three-pointers, according to Rush.

While Berry has been named a Miss Basketball finalist the two previous years, she’s looking to win the award for the first time in her high school career. Other finalists include Natalya Hodge out of Bearden High and Kimora Fields out of Bradley Central.
