CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Wildcats, Rossview Hawks, West Creek Coyotes and Northwest Vikings met up at Northwest High School for the Region 7-3A volleyball tournament. Clarksville defeated West Creek in the semi-final 3-0, while Rossview defeated Northwest 3-2, leading to a region championship between the Hawks and Wildcats, which Clarksville won 3-1, winning their fourth-straight region title.

Clarksville defeated West Creek behind a strong performance from Keira Garigner, who had a .682 hitting percentage. Brooke Moon also set up a lot of points for the Wildcats, with 18 assists against the Coyotes.

Rossview was down two sets to one against Northwest, but played with a don’t-give-up attitude. They upped the energy to force the fifth set, and used the momentum to win the fifth set and keep their season alive.

In the championship, Madeline Cole stepped up and grabbed seven kills for the Wildcats. Garinger collected 18 herself, while Moon collected 22 assists in the match. The Hawks would grab the third set from Clarksville, but the Wildcats would win the fourth, for their fourth straight region championship.

The Wildcats will now host a sectional match next Thursday, October 17th at 7 p.m. for the right to go to the state tournament.
