CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) Chick-fil-A Leader Academy and Clarksville High School Academy of Business and Finance students are hosting their annual Hometown Heroes charity event Saturday, May 5.

This year’s event will consist of a kickball tournament, with all proceeds from the day’s event going towards the winning team’s charity of choice. Deadline for registration for the kickball tournament is April 27.

The Hometown Heroes Kickball Tournament will be held at Clarksville High School on Saturday, May 5. Game times will begin at 10 a.m., with a championship game starting at 2 p.m. Teams invited to participate are from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Clarksville Police Department, Clarksville Fire Department, Montgomery County Community Emergency Response Teams, and the U.S. Military.

The students are also encouraging teachers, moms/dads, nurses, CDE/CEMC line workers, and others who are every day heroes to come participate in this event. Teams already signed up for the event are: Clarksville Fire Department, County Mayor Leadership team, Barksdale Elementary, Clarksville Police, and Emergency Medical Services.

The public is invited to attend and help recognize the impact hometown heroes make in this community, while raising money for the winning team’s charity of choice.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leadership program focused on impact through action. The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy engages students with a focus on important leadership skills that they will use to create student-led Community Impact Project.
