CLARKSVILLE, TN − Kayla Saelens, a senior at Clarksville High School, has been selected to join the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee Teen Leadership Council for 2025-2026 and to serve on the City of Clarksville’s Mayor’s Youth Council for 2025-26.

Selection for the Girls Scouts of Middle Tennessee Teen Leadership Council (TLC) recognizes Girl Scouts who show exceptional leadership, dedication, and a passion for making a difference. TLC members engage with local businesses and accomplished women leaders, developing the skills to advocate for themselves and others while actively shaping the future of Girl Scouting. This program transforms courage into meaningful action, fostering the next generation of leaders. Participants enhance their communication and writing abilities, gain essential career and life skills, advocate for community change, and build valuable connections through mentorship and networking.

Kayla will also serve on the Mayor’s Youth Council. This honor is extended to outstanding students who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, community service, and civic engagement. As a council member, Kayla will work alongside local leaders and peers to strengthen the community through service initiatives and active communication with elected officials.
