CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville High junior pitcher Braden Taylor has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following his performance in the Wildcats win over against Niceville High School in Florida. Braden pitched a no-hitter, and elevated his record to 3-0 on the year.

“Braden Taylor was outstanding vs. a 11-1 Niceville, Florida team,” said Wildcats head coach Brian Hetland. “To not give up any hits in five innings and keep a hot team from scoring is special. Braden is now 3-0 on the young season.”

Taylor and the Wildcats now hold a 9-3 record on the year. Clarksville is looking to take a trip to their third straight state tournament this year, and four out of the last five years.

“It’s great to be Player of the Week but the work isn’t done yet,” said Taylor. “I just have to keep on building off of that performance the rest of the year and pitch with confidence.”
