CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools and the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation held their 14th annual Pass and Go event on Saturday at Wyatt Johnson Automotive, with Michael Vezeau, a junior at Clarksville High School, the lucky winner of a new car.

“I am very excited,” Michael said. “It was very unexpected, and a lot of work went into it, so I am very proud.”

Each year, sophomores, juniors and seniors who have passed their Advanced Placement exams with a 3, 4 or 5 are invited to participate in Pass and Go. Students receive tickets and are eligible for prizes ranging from Domino’s pizza to a new car.

Wyatt Johnson Automotive General Manager Brian Burkeen said Vezeau had a choice of a Hyundai Accent or Kia Rio.

“We’ve been able to see this program grow, from 125 students 14 years ago to 616 students that took an Advanced Placement course,” Burkeen said. “It’s a phenomenal program and it’s one of our favorite community giveaways that we do.”

Over 25 students won drawings with various other prizes like gas cards, a laptop, an iPad, or air pods.
