CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville High School held a make-up graduation ceremony for the class of 2025 baseball players who were unable to attend the original ceremony due to their recent postseason state tournament run. The group of 10 seniors walked the stage to receive their diplomas a few days late, but they were busy making program history in Murfreesboro.

“This senior group has been transformational for our program,” said Clarksville High head coach Brian Hetland. “To do what they’ve done, going to state three years in a row, and earn a state runner-up, this group has been a huge part of that. It’s a great group of people who are all outstanding students and great young men; they’re people that you’d want your daughter to date. They’ve been so resilient. I couldn’t be prouder of them, and I am so proud to be their coach.”

The Wildcats finished their 2025 season as District 13-4A Champs, Region 7-4A Champs, as well as the TSSAA Class 4A Runner-up. CHS baseball ended their season with a final record of 38-8, which marks the highest winning percentage in program history. Two-way player Jack Wyatt, who’s headed to Carson Newman University to continue his academic and athletic career, will never forget his time as a Wildcat.
“This program has taught me so much over the last four years,” Wyatt said. “I learned how to work hard every day, be a team guy, and we did a good job of getting to state for three years straight. It was really special to get to the championship in my senior year. Coach Hetland asked a lot of us, and it was a lot at times, but it will help me out at the next level.”
