CLARKSVILLE, TN − Step into the rich and diverse history of our region at Heritage Fest, a community celebration highlighting the cultural and historical legacy of Clarksville and Montgomery County. The event will take place on Saturday, May 3, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

From the ancient art of Dunbar Cave to the solemn path of the Trail of Tears and the modern-day spirit of our community, Heritage Fest will bring together the many threads that have shaped our hometown. This free, family-friendly festival will offer an engaging afternoon filled with discovery, conversation, and celebration.

Event highlights include:

  • Live panel discussions exploring local history and culture
    1 p.m. – Cherokee Indian Removal in Montgomery County by David Britton
    2 p.m. – History of the Smith-Trahern Mansion by Roxanne Jenkins
    3 p.m. – Contributions of Judge Charles W. Tyler
