CLARKSVILLE, TN – The second annual Clarksville Half Marathon, 5K, and 1-Mile Race – presented by Hankook Tire Manufacturing Tennessee, with additional support from Visit Clarksville, Daniel Ingram – Geico Local Office, and Premier Medical – will take place Saturday, Nov. 1, with the start and finish line on Franklin Street near Public Square.
“Last year’s event brought the community together in an incredible way, and it’s great to see our city come alive around running and fitness,” said Jennifer Letourneau, director of Clarksville Parks and Recreation.
All courses except the 1-Mile are USA Track & Field (USATF)-certified, and will be chip-timed by Bald Eagle Events to ensure accurate results for every participant. Runners can choose from five events:
- Half Marathon – 7 a.m.
- Half Marathon Ruck (new this year) – 7 a.m.
- 5K – 7:30 a.m.
- 5K Ruck (new this year) – 7:30 a.m.
- 1-Mile Fun Run – 9 a.m.
Participants will race through scenic downtown streets, city parks, and past some of Clarksville’s most iconic landmarks. After crossing the finish line, 21-plus half marathon and 5K participants can enjoy a free drink, courtesy of Strawberry Alley Ale Works, celebrate with fellow runners, capture memories with photos, and visit Mug Shots Coffee, Bronx Mystique Deli, and Kadis Tacos, all of which will be on site.
Prize money will be awarded in select events:
Half Marathon & Half Marathon Ruck
- 1st Place: $1,000
- 2nd Place: $700
- 3rd Place: $500
5K & 5K Ruck
- 1st Place: $400
- 2nd Place: $250
- 3rd Place: $150
