CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A group of firefighters from Clarksville Fire Rescue participated in the Nashville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Tuesday, September 10.

The firefighters climbed a total of 110 flights of stairs in the Tennessee Tower to honor the 343 members of FDNY who died on September 11, 2001 while trying to save others.

One hundred percent of funds raised from the event go to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and are specifically earmarked to help families directly affected by 9/11.

Firefighters who participated were: Capt Welch, FF Kay, FF Mason, Chief Batten, Lt Snyder, FF Davis, Lt Reed, Lt Jones, FF Casillas, FF Grimes, FF England, ENG Joyner, EMR Midkiff, and FF Poston.
