CLARKSVILLE, TN − Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery Jr. and Clarksville Fire Rescue will host their annual 9/11 Ceremony next month to honor the lives lost during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 9:30 a.m. at Clarksville Fire Rescue Headquarters, 821 Franklin St. This event is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
The program will feature a joint honor guard made up of local first responders and military personnel, the placement of a memorial wreath, and a tribute to Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
Following the ceremony, CFR personnel will participate in the Memorial Stair Climb in remembrance of the first responders who gave their lives on 9/11.
