CLARKSVILLE, TN – Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery Jr. and Clarksville Fire Rescue will host a 20th Anniversary ceremony honoring fallen firefighters and the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The ceremony will begin at 8:59 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Fire Station 1, located at 802 Main St.
The ceremony will include a flyover from the U.S. Army, placement of a memorial wreath, guest speakers, a presentation of flowers to families of fallen firefighters, and the 101st Airborne Division Band.
Immediately following the ceremony, there will be demonstrations and a static display from various departments and local partners until noon. It is an opportunity for the public to learn about different departments, vehicles, and equipment.
This event is open to the public.
