CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Fire Rescue will hold its annual 9/11 ceremony Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Main Fire Station, 802 Main Street.
The ceremony honors the fallen firefighters and victims of 9/11.
“I am honored to participate in this ceremony dedicated to the memory of fallen heroes,” said Mayor Kim McMillan. “This annual remembrance ceremony is an important part of our ongoing thoughts and prayers to the families of the fallen. It is also a reminder to appreciate the men and women who continue to protect us every day.”
“This annual ceremony is an honor for Clarksville Fire Rescue. We too rarely have the opportunity to stop and remember the people who walk into an emergency instead of running from it,” said Clarksville Fire Chief Michael Roberts. “We can never forget the horrors of September 11 nor can we put into words our appreciation for the sacrifices of our fallen firefighters. But we can do our best to remember and honor their memories.”
The public is invited to attend.
