CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLNOW) It was beautiful spring morning in Clarksville as the Downtown Market opened the 2020 season near the banks of the Cumberland River at McGregor Park. The Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department says over 1,400 people visited the market with close to 20 farm vendors featuring food products, plants and flowers.
The market followed proper COVID-19 pandemic-related restrictions with safety measures and sanitary guidelines in place. Both vendors and patrons were encouraged to wear facial coverings, vendors were required to wear gloves and hand sanitizer was available for everyone. Among other precautions, on-site social distancing was handled with crowd control and yellow caution tape.
