CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Not all courtroom visits are happy ones for citizens or police, but the courtroom visit Detective Dennis Honholt and his wife, Carolyn, made on Wednesday, Nov. 4 to adopt three children was a very happy visit for the Honholt family.
Detective Honholt, his wife Carolyn, and his three children — Isacc, Ian, and Gavin – went to Judge Chancellor McMillan’s courtroom to officially adopt three children out of foster care.
The three children they adopted are 7-year-old Mikey (Michael), 9-year-old Gracee, and 12-year-old Sadie. They are all biological siblings, and their last name is now Honholt. They had been in the system for the last five years and had lived with the Honholts for about a year.
We would like to celebrate this heartwarming moment with the Honholt family and wish them well!
