CLARKSVILLE, TN – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. believes in the importance of educational development and the fostering of academic excellence.
As a national organization, Delta Sigma Theta develops and delivers programs across the globe, providing young people with the tools and support they need to achieve.
Every year, the Clarksville alumnae chapter partners with local and state officials to honor graduating high school seniors in the Clarksville area who have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
They applaud the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and Clarksville Academy Scholars for their motivation and academic accomplishments that helped them secure this recognition. These youth have demonstrated a commitment to hard work and excellence, the recognition program is a highlight of their success.
The chapter is continuing to take precautions to keep the community protected. As part of this commitment to safety, the annual Scholars Reception will be an online celebration in 2022.
The virtual celebration will be held on Sunday, May 1, at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be Clarksville’s own Dawn Evans, actress and former guard in the WNBA.
