CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man was charged with burglary Tuesday after allegedly breaking into his place of employment.

Police were called to the Clarksville Country Club at 334 Fairway Drive Tuesday, September 11, 2018 around 7 a.m. to investigate a burglary in progress. Officers arrived on scene and discovered several offices that had been forced open and ransacked. Money, cash boxes, and money bags were missing from the rooms and the building’s locker rooms were damaged.

While officers were searching the business, they found money that had been dropped inside, as well as cash boxes and money bags outside on the grounds of the golf course.

Security footage showed an employee identified as Brandon Lee Wilkes inside an office he did not have access to. He was also caught on camera opening desks and an office where some of the property had gone missing.

Police said Wilkes is an employee of the Country Club and had access codes to enter the building, but not all of the offices.

Brandon Lee Wilkes, 31, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with burglary. His bond was set at $10,000. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
