CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Major General Voleskey to the community with a reception Thursday evening.
A large gathering came out to show their support for the 101st’s new Major General.
MG Volesky appreciates the community connection between the Fort Campbell base and the surrounding towns.
“This has been one of the best communities, even in this short time, that I have had the honor of serving in during my 31 years of service,” he said.
Volesky is impressed with the community effort to help support the troops and he encourages everyone to keep up the good work. “People are doing so much for veterans and active soldiers. It has been overwhelming since the first month that I have been here to see the support from the community,” he said.
