CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation received a check for $150,000 from City Saver officials Saturday. The check was presented during a Mega Party for students who sold coupon books during the recent fundraiser.
Over 300 elementary school students in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools, along with their families, were invited to the event held at the Austin Peay State University Foy Center. There was food, games, music, inflatables, prizes, laser tag, a video game truck, and more.
“We’re excited to partner with City Saver again for our tenth year to raise these funds which will ultimately help the children in Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools,” said Robin Burton, Executive Director of the Education Foundation.
Burton added the funds provide programs, tools, and essential items for teachers not necessarily in the tax dollar budget.
