CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – On Wednesday, Clarksville Christian School’s (CCS) Austen Bowles became the newest member of the Bryan College Men’s Basketball Team.

This signing is the exclamation point after Bowles’ stellar career at CCS, which includes helping his team earn the 2018 TNCAA Conference Championship title and the 2019 Runner-Up spot.

Earlier this year, Austen Bowles became the first basketball player in CCS history to enter the prestigious 1,000-point club. Following an appearance in the NACA National Tournament, Bowles was also named a Division V third team All-American.

In a gym filled with family, friends, coaches, and school officials, Centurions Head Coach, Paris Carter, told the audience that Bowles “represents the best of CCS. He is someone who leads by example and brings out the best in his teammates and all those around him.”

Clarksville Christian Athletic Director, Phil Burkart, also commended Bowles for serving as a role model to other student-athletes at the school. Burkhart noted that, “Austen has shown integrity, a Christian spirit and sportsmanship in his years as a Centurion basketball player. We are proud of his accomplishments and wish him much success.”
