CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Christian senior guard Kreid Smith has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week for his performance in the Centurions’ perfect 2-0 start to their season.

During their first week of the 2025-26 high school basketball season, CCS played and defeated Currey Ingram Academy and Metro Christian. Smith averaged 17 points throughout those two games, to go along with an average of 5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 4 steals per contest.

“Being Player of the Week is a great honor, but none of this would have been possible without my support system,” Smith told Clarksville Now. “My teammates are putting in an equal amount of work, and my coaches are pushing me to do better to make us all better as a unit.”

Coach’s comments

“We’re all very happy with Kreid’s leadership and progress this early in the season,” said Centurions head coach Drake Reed. “He has a lot on his shoulders, and he is capable of doing great things.

“Kreid handles his academics, and it’s rare to find a kinder person off the court. God is blessing him in many facets of life. We pray for his continued success,” he said.

Smith and the rest of the Centurion squad are off to an undefeated start in their first season under Reed. Clarksville Christian is looking to make noise in the TSIAA this year and is kicking things off on the right track.
