WHITE HOUSE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Christian Lady Centurions traveled to Christian Community School for the TSIAA North District Championship game against Pleasant View Christian School on Saturday. The Centurions won in blowout fashion, 56-26 for their third straight district title.
“I’m just glad we were able to pull it out. We had some girls step up tonight,” said Centurions head coach Trenton Hassell. “We didn’t play our best game, but played well enough as a team with all the injuries we have right now heading into the state tournament next week. We will need everyone that’s healthy enough to step up next week just to have a chance at state.”
Despite being down some key players due to injuries, Clarksville Christian still dominated, with Marley Spires scoring 18 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to lead the way. After the game, Spires, Lauren Hassell, and Kaydence Kindle were named to the TSIAA North All-District Team.
Next up for the Centurions, they will host Zion Christian School on Tuesday night for the State quarterfinals. Clarksville Christian will begin their quest for a fifth straight state title, and is now three wins away.
