CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Aug. 21 flood in Humphreys County devastated Waverly Elementary School, filling their hallways and classrooms with muddy stormwater.
In response, 5 Star Media Group has created Clarksville Cares for Waverly Elementary School. The drive starts this week, collecting new supplies for the school, in coordination with Humphreys County Emergency Management Agency, so that when the school reopens, the kids can get back to learning as soon as possible.

We are collecting items such as pencils, crayons, glue, scissors, notebooks, markers, colored pencils and paper.
Our sister radio stations will take up the collections live at these locations:
- Thursday, Sept. 2 – F&M Bank, 2601 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 3 – Miss Lucille’s, 2231 Madison St., from 4-6 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 4 – Furniture Connection, 115 Merchants Blvd., 10 a.m.-noon.
- Tuesday, Sept. 7 – F&M Bank, downtown at 50 Franklin St., 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
