CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Well-known Clarksville businessman Tom Cunningham has died at the age of 56.

Cunningham was the owner of Strawberry Alley Ale Works, which opened in downtown Clarksville in April 2018.

According to his obituary, Tom was born November 25, 1962 at Fort Campbell, KY. He passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Harrison Cunningham; their four children, Matthew Thomas Cunningham (28), Wesley Scott Cunningham (26), Nicholas Harrison Cunningham (24), and Katherine Elise Cunningham (21), all of Clarksville; three brothers, Elijah W. Cunningham V of Little Rock, AR, Peter Cunningham of Murfreesboro, TN, and Andrew Cunningham of Jacksonville, FL; father-in-law, Earl Harrison; and mother-in-law, Mary Elise Harrison.

“Tom cared deeply about his family and his city,” Mayor Joe Pitts said in a statement to ClarksvilleNow.com. “Nowhere is that more evident than the investment of his time and treasure in our historic downtown. His impact will be felt for generations.”

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at Madison Street United Methodist Church at 319 Madison Street.
