CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America proudly invites Scouts and their families to place American flags on the graves of each soldier in the Greenwood Cemetery and Resthaven Cemetery in Clarksville.
Local Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Sea Scouts, and Venture Scouts will commemorate Memorial Day by placing American flags at the grave sites of American veterans this weekend at several locations. The flag ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Resthaven Cemetery and 8 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery.
The National Cemetery in Madison will have nearly 1,200 Scouts and family members placing 35,000 flags, as well as a brief program honoring veteran prior to flag placement beginning at 8:00 a.m.
