CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville-based boot company has issued a recall on some of its safety boots and shoes.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall, which includes approximately 7,200 pairs of McRae Industrial brand steel toe boots, static dissipative shoes and composite boots. The boots are imported by Dan Post Boot Company of Clarksville, Tenn. and sold at several retailers.

The recall says the boots and shoes can fail to protect feet when heavy or sharp objects fall on them, posing an injury hazard to consumers. Consumers should immediately stop wearing the recalled boots and shoes and return to firm to receive a full refund.

The firm has received one report of a tire falling onto a consumer’s foot while he was wearing his safety boots, resulting in a broken foot.

You can find detailed product information, including style numbers, descriptions, and photos of the recalled products on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
