CLARKSVILLE, TN – On Jan. 19, the Clarksville Association of Realtors Spreading Our Support Foundation (CARSOS) held an inaugural Grant Presentation Reception, awarding nearly $145,000 to seven charitable organizations in Clarksville-Montgomery County. The CARSOS has a mission of harnessing the power of our local Realtors in raising funds to turn around and contribute to other charitable organizations in our community.
“CAR has a true passion to help our community,” said Sandra Hester, 2022 president of the Clarksville Association of Realtors. “Being able to donate close to $145,000 to organizations all over our community makes me proud to be a part of this Association. I love seeing our realtors make a difference here where they live and work,” said Hester.
The following organizations were presented with CARSOS Grants:
- Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County – $15,000
- CAR Young Professionals Network Mikes Groves Memorial Scholarship – $55,000

“We are so thankful for our realtors, affiliates, and the members in our community that made donations throughout 2021”, said Melanie Lacasse, 2022 president of Clarksville Association of Realtors Spreading Our Support Foundation. “It was truly heartwarming to see how much money was raised. It was such an honor to present checks to our recipients.”
CARSOS funds are raised through various fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Fundraising events include Handbags for Hope, Appetite for Art, and Ride the Trace. Additionally, SOS receives donations from CAR’s realtor members, affiliate partners, and other members in our community.
In addition to the annual grant distributions, CARSOS has developed a down payment assistance program and offers $1,000 grants quarterly. To apply for either grant, visit www.spreadingoursupport.com/apply.
