CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Local painter Tara Swalgren will host an art show in downtown Clarksville this weekend to show case her unique talents.

Swalgren, who finds artistic inspiration in the animal world, often incorporates flowers and other plant-life into her paintings to create surreal effects.

“I would describe my artistic work as floral and feminine,” Swalgren said in a recent interview with ClarksvilleNow.com. “There’s something just so feminine about an animal to me and adding these pink and purple hues, and crystals and flowers celebrates strong femininity and masculinity.”
