Celebrating service
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee each year presents Volunteer of the Year awards to the top volunteers at each of its locations, honoring those who’ve given generously of their time, talents and resources to advance the Y’s charitable mission. Since the organization’s founding in 1875, dedicated volunteers like Jessica have worked to strengthen their community by being part of the YMCA.

“For more than 140 years, volunteers have been the lifeblood of our Y,” said YMCA of Middle Tennessee President and CEO Dan Dummermuth. “Every contribution volunteers make is vital—from giving their time to coach children to mentoring new members to helping us secure charitable gifts to support our cause. We are so grateful for our volunteers who led the way in 2015 to make a lasting and positive impact in their communities by being part of the Y. We couldn’t accomplish our mission without them.”
