CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Clarksville Area Urban Ministries is pleased to announce that Jodi McBryant has joined the organization and will take on the role of executive firector.
“We are so pleased to have Jodi join our organization. She brings a wealth of experience in non-profit management in our community, and we cannot be more excited about the direction our organization is going”, stated Sandra Simms, Clarksville Area Urban Ministries, board chairperson.
Jodi has been in the Clarksville community for 17 years and her husband, David, was born and raised here. Together, they have four children and one grandchild.
McBryant has spent the last 14 years in the ministry with several community churches in the Clarksville area. She has a depth of experience in community involvement, volunteer cultivation and program management.
Additionally, Jodi has a strong background in fiscal management, marketing, public relations and fundraising. “Jodi will be a huge asset to the Clarksville Area Urban Ministries, as the executive director wears many hats and she has the experience in her prior roles to succeed with our organization,” continued Mrs. Simms.
Jodi joins Clarksville Area Urban Ministries at a time of change and, along with the board, will lead the organization down a new path of growth and community development. The most exciting piece of the new mission and focus is the building of a new SafeHouse for victims of domestic violence. A new property has been acquired and a capital campaign is in the works to fund the changes and additions needed to make the new SafeHouse a place of refuge for those who suffer from domestic violence.
“I am excited to embark upon this new phase of not only my career path but the path of Urban Ministries as well. We hope to continue to grow and develop our programs as we support those in need in our community,” stated Jodi McBryant.
The Clarksville Area Urban Ministries is the umbrella organization that manages two community- based support programs, SafeHouse to support the victims of domestic violence, and Grace Assistance, that provides, food, clothing, shelter, rent and utility support for those who are homeless or those that are in need of extra help to stop the cycle of homelessness. Clarksville Area Urban Ministries is focused on expanding on their mission of caring for our neighbors in need and has an exciting plan to further that mission in many ways.
If you would like to support Urban Ministries in their mission and the efforts to build a new SafeHouse, you may contact Jodi McBryant at the Urban Ministries offices at 931-648-9090.
