CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Area Ministerial Association (CAMA) will hold its annual Unity Service for Monday, January 20, at the Walnut Grove Baptist Church located at 1616 Walnut Grove Road.

The theme of this year’s Unity Service, “Remember! Celebrate! Act! A day on, not a day off,” honors the memory and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Bishop Anthony Alfred, Pastor of the Family of Faith Church and President of CAMA, along with Pastor Dr. Carl Livingston will welcome members from a cross section of churches in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.

The planning coordinator for this year’s service, Dr Anderson Grant, has helped plan the service for 21 years. Grant is a retired US Army chaplain as well as the Treasurer or CAMA.

The Unity Choir, comprised of choir members from many churches, will perform under the direction of Elder Velma Robinson of St. Bethlehem Christian Church.

Special music will also be provided by Korean and Latino Choirs.

Tennessee State Representative Jason Hodges, Mayor Joe Pitts and Mayor Jim Durrett will participate in the Unity Service alongside 26 clergy members from the community.

The guest speaker for this year’s service will be Pastor Maria Wolmart, who is the senior Pastor of MIRA Family Church in Clarksville. Wolmart helped establish the church in May of 2017 and is affiliated with the Church of God ministries (Anderson, IN) She is serving as a member of the Clergy Rapid Mobilization Team for the Clarksville Police Department and is also part of the Chaplain Services at Tennova Hospital.
