CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce held its 117th annual Dinner & Gala Tuesday with more than 310 supporters of the Chamber attending at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

Along with welcoming a new chairman, executive committee, and board of directors, the Chamber also presented their annual awards.

The Clarksville Chamber 2022 Ted A. Crozier Sr. Community Commitment Award honors and recognizes member individuals, businesses or organizations that showcase the spirit of the community. The award was presented to members of the Cunningham family in memory of the late Tom Cunningham.

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors and recognizes a Chamber member that has shown dedication to the Chamber and the community. The award for 2022 went to past chairman of the Chamber for 2009, David B. Smith, TTL.

Chamber of Commerce ambassadors are goodwill representatives of the Chamber who work for business and community interest. Tyler Mayes with NFM Lending was recognized as the 2022 Ambassador of the Year.

Clarksville Young Professionals, CYP, is a chamber program that recognizes those young people who are focused on business, professional, and community development. Grayson Smith, Public & Community Chairman  for TTL, was the recipient of the 2022 CPY of the Year Award.

The 2022 Veterans Award honors a military veteran who through their professional and personal efforts make a positive impact in the business community. Also known as the Boots to Suits Award was presented to Joe Smith with Jodi’s Cabinet Sales.

A new award was created in 2021 to honor a strong supporter and a friend of the Chamber as well as the community, Valerie Hunter-Kelly. Alana Ward, of Baggett Heating & Cooling, received the 2022 Woman in Business Award.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee members whose terms expire in June include Marcia Clark, Grayson Smith and Wes Cunningham.

Chamber of Commerce Board of Director with expiring terms in 2022 were Jesse Presley, Lance Morgan, Bob Upton, Mercy Neysmith, Amber Anderson and John Link.
