CLARKSVILLE, TN – Airman Sean Menees, a Clarksville native serving as an aviation electrician’s mate, was recognized as the Warrior of the Week aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima on Jan. 5.
Warrior of the Week recipients are selected for their hard work, dedication and outstanding character. Menees serves in the ship’s Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department and was nominated for getting qualified ahead of schedule, being the first to volunteer for important mission requirements and for having an influential positive attitude.
“This means the world to me,” said Menees. “Recognition is a wonderful thing, but nothing can be greater than the rush of knowing that I’m part of the world’s greatest Navy!”
Menees graduated from Rossview High School in 2012 and has served in the Navy since March 2022.
