CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Salvation Army has extended hours for the weekend to provide a cooling shelter. Hours are Saturday, July 18 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Salvation Army is located at 210 Kraft Street, 931-552-5350.
The following agencies also offer their facilities for use as cooling shelters during their normal operating hours:
The Old Fire Day Shelter located at 1498 Golf Club Lane, 931-542-0381. Operating hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Urban Ministries (Grace Assistance) located at 217 South Third Street, 931-648-9090. Operating hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
