CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE)- Clarksville Academy senior football standout, Tajiri Jenkins, signed with Centre College Wednesday morning on National Signing Day.

Jenkins was a key contributor on the offense and defense for the Cougars this season. He had eight receptions for 128 yards on offense.

On the defensive side of the ball, Jenkins had 43 tackles and 2 interceptions for the 2018 season. Jenkins was named to the Division II Class A Middle Region team, and Leaf-Chronicle All-Area.

Coaches said Jenkins has shown great leadership for the Clarksville Academy football program on and off the field.

Off the field, Jenkins is a member of the National Honor Society and Youth in Government. He was also a member of the 2018 State Championship 4×400 Track Team.

Jenkins is the son of Vincent Jr. and Thomya Jenkins. He is the grandson of Vincent Sr. and Gloria Jenkins, and Thomas and Delois Hogan.
