CLARKSVILLE, TN – On Saturday, Oct 21, the Clarksville Academy Middle School Cross Country Team had a historical day, hosting the first-ever cross country meet at the Cougar Sports Complex. This event had 246 registered athletes from across the county to compete in the Montgomery County Middle School Cross Country Championships. CA middle school XC coach Doug Catellier organized the event.
Jennifer Hinote, CA Head of Schools, was the honorary race starter for the girls’ race, and Matt Hoppe, CA athletic director, was the honorary race starter for the boys’ race.
The overall Individual winners were:
Girls 2 mi Race:
- 1st place: Grace Sauls, Rossview MS
- 2nd Place: Paige Burton, Kirkwood MS
- 3rd Place: Janiya Lames, Kenwood MS
Boys 2 mi Race:
- 1st Place: Malique Janacek, Richview MS
- 2nd Place: Kaden Meyer, Richview MS
- 3rd Place: Hudson Keenan, Kirkwood MS
