CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Academy boys and girls golf teams won the Division II Class A Middle Tennessee District 2 District Golf Tournament on Monday at Old Hickory Country Club.

The girls continued their winning ways by finishing first place in the district shooting a 173 beating the 2nd place team by 60 strokes. Hunter Farrell was the medalist of the district tournament shooting an 84 while Michaela Dowdy finished in 2nd place with an 89.

The boys team won their first district title by 4 strokes, 314-318 over University School of Nashville. The boys were led by their only Senior Wyatt Samuels shooting a 76 and finishing in 2nd place for the tournament. Patton Samuels tied for 3rd place shooting a 77 and Samuel Nicholson finished tied for 7th with a 79. Taylor Norris rounded out the team score shooting a season best 82.

Both the boys and girls will be traveling to Shelbyville next Monday for the Regional tournament to be played at Riverbend Country Club.
