Northeast head coach Ivard Brimley said they got what they wanted defensively but needed to get more shots to fall.
“We focused on defense and executed well,” Brimley said. “We just had a few lapses and made too many mistakes, so we have to clean that up. We just need to move forward and get back in the lab and get ourselves a win next time out.”

Clarksville Academy kept up the defensive pressure in the second half, which ultimately secured their victory. Cougars head coach Damarius Smith thought they earned this win the best way possible: together.
“It was a great crowd for an inner-city game, and we fed off that,” Smith told Clarksville Now. “We were able to sustain energy by guys stepping up. It was a great team effort, and we’re looking to continue to build on that.”
