CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – This Saturday the ClarksVillain Roller Girls take on Cookeville’s Demolition Dolls in “The Mother of All Bouts” at the Clarksville Speedway.
The ClarksVillains are ready to take on the Dolls in a hard hitting and exciting display of athleticism. You might be thinking, “The ClarksVillains always put on a great show, what makes this one ‘The Mother of All Bouts?’” This time around, the ClarksVillains wanted to highlight all the mammas that make up about half of the team.
“A lot of people think derby as just a bunch of girls on skates slamming into each other,” said Jaime Varriale, better known by fans as #4 The Truth. “Myself, and so many of my teammates, spend our time on the track working our butts off and setting a good example to our kids to be physically and mentally strong. We want people to know that beneath the bumps and bruises, there is a lot to the sport of roller derby and the women that play, and hopefully inspire others to come out and join us!”
The ClarksVillains invite you to come out, support your local roller derby team, and bring mom along for a night out celebrating strong, beautiful women.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the skating starts at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 at United Chiropractic, Tippers Neighborhood Pub, and Wicked Good Sandwiches, or at the event for $10. Children 11 and under are free. Beer is available for purchase for fans 21 and over.
