Clarence Charlton Fuqua, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Richland Place Health Center, in Nashville.

Charlton was born June 17, 1929, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late James J. Fuqua, Sr. and Lou Ada Suiter Fuqua. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Edna Suiter Fuqua.
Mr. Fuqua was retired from Firestone and Austin Peay State University. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a US Air Force veteran.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 24, at 3:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Terrell Marcom and Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, and Sunday, January 24, from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Charlton is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Michael) Bowers of Clarksville; three sisters, Martha Hoover of Clarksville, Mildred Jensen of Columbia, SC, and Mary Nell Daly of Green Valley, AZ; two grandchildren, Derrick Bowers (Emily Shelton) and Chelsey (Chris) Sizemore; and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bowers, Derrick Bowers, Taylor Bowers, Chris Sizemore, Danny Atkins, and Charles Mosley.
