Clara Melvina Baker, age 71 of Erin, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at her residence.
She entered this life on August 23, 1949 in Erin, the daughter to the late Isaac and Delores Laxton. Clara was a faithful member of Hurricane Baptist Church. She enjoyed sports, coaching her son’s little league baseball teams and loved her dog, Spencer, like a son.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Wyatt, Rabon Wyatt and Lindon Wyatt and sister, Naomi “Sissy” Bradley. Survivors include her loving sons, Marty Baker and Isaac Baker; brother, Adron “Bud” Wyatt and sisters, Ruth Schoepfiln (Clayton), Emma Rae Webb and Kathy Rippy.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, July 9 at 6 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Erin. The Baker family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the hour of service.
