CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – As the City of Clarksville plans for the next phase of their comprehensive safety action plan, they are looking to members of the community for feedback over the plan’s strategies.

The overall goal of the action plan is to “identify projects and strategies to help prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries for all transportation users in the city, including motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit riders,” according to a news release sent by city spokesperson Jimmy Settle.

The public will have in-person opportunities to provide feedback at Manna Café, 605 Providence Blvd., on March 14 and March 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. In addition, the city has also invited the public to take an online survey to provide feedback on proposed strategies for improved safety on roadways. The survey will be made available on March 4 through the 18 at the following link.

The Safe Streets for All Safety Action Plan is being funded with a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, according to the release. With the completion of the plan, the City of Clarksville will be allowed to apply for implementation of capital construction grant funds through the federal discretionary grant program.
