CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – For the 11th consecutive year, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and the CMC Education Foundation have partnered to sponsor the City Saver Education Funding Campaign that will run from Feb. 3-26. Last year’s campaign raised over $150,000 for local schools and the CMC Education Foundation, with a total of $1.7 million raised over the past 10 years.
During this year’s campaign, many students will sell the new 2021 Clarksville City Saver coupon book, which contains thousands of dollars in savings at over 150 local restaurants, attractions and retail stores. The 288-page book sells for $25 and includes dozens of buy-one, get-one free, and 50% off discounts that do not expire until Feb. 1, 2022. This book is different from any other fundraiser because of the return on investment for all who purchase and use City Saver coupons.
The purchase of a book also includes the popular City Saver mobile app, which doubles the savings in Clarksville and gives the customer additional discounts in Nashville, Memphis and Cincinnati. For every book sold, 50% will go directly to the individual school, and 10% will go to the CMC Education Foundation.
The 2021 book includes local restaurants like Liberty Park Grill, Edward’s Steakhouse, Harbor Café, Juicy Seafood, Wicked Good Sandwiches & Pbody’s; local attractions like City Forum, DEFY Trampoline Park, Roxy Regional Theatre & Tie Breaker Water Park; and additional Nashville attractions like the Nashville Zoo, Dave & Buster’s, Beech Bend Amusement Park, Cheekwood Gardens and the Adventure Science Center.
“This year more than ever, we feel that the City Saver coupon book and mobile app will help many of our families save money during these unprecedented times,” said Robin Burton, executive director of the CMC Education Foundation. “In addition, we know many of our local restaurants and businesses are looking for different ways to get more customers through their doors, and City Saver coupons provide a great incentive. This fundraiser serves as a great way to get the whole community involved in supporting our schools.”
The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation’s mission is to support the improvement of public education by providing the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System additional funding for the support of programs and initiatives that contribute to student achievement. City Saver is the largest fundraiser of the Foundation.
