CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – City of Clarksville offices will close Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24-25 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and the offices will close Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 to observe New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
City Public Safety departments will be on duty as usual and all essential City services will continue on these days off.
Clarksville Transit System buses will offer free rides on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, but routes will shut down at 5 p.m., with the last transfer at 4 p.m. CTS will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Dec. 26.
CTS will run on its usual schedule New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and will offer Operation Safe Ride from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. to ensure revelers and get home safely from their New Year’s parties. The bus system will be closed on New Year’s Day and reopen on Jan. 2.
Clarksville Gas and Water administration and engineering offices, including the north and south customer service centers, also will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1. In the event of a gas, water or sewer emergency on those days, customers should call (931) 645-7400, or the emergency after-hours line, (931) 645-0116. The Utility Billing Line, (931) 645-7400, automated pay by phone; and WebConnect, www.clarksvillegw.com, online bill payment feature, all will be operational.
CDE Lightband offices will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1. In the event of a service outage, customers should call (931) 648-8151. Customers can go online at https://cdelightband.com/customer-service/ for service and bill paying information.
All City of Clarksville offices will reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 26 and on Wednesday, Jan. 2 for regularly scheduled hours.
