MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Both County and City government offices will be closed this week in observance of the New Year’s holiday.
City of Clarksville and Montgomery County Government offices will close at noon on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2019, and will be closed all day on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
Both city and county offices will resume operations during normal business hours on Thursday, January 2.
City Public Safety departments will be on duty as usual, and all essential city services will continue.
The transit system will be closed on New Year’s Day and will reopen on January, 2. Due to declining use in recent years and an increase in transportation alternatives, CTS will not offer Operation Safe Ride, the traditional ride-home program for New Year’s Eve party goers.
Clarksville Gas & Water administration and engineering offices, including both the north and south customer service centers, will also be closed January, 1. In the event of a gas, water or sewer emergency, customers should call 931-645-7400, or the emergency after-hours line at 931-645-0116.
The utility billing line (931-645-7400), automated pay by phone, and WebConnect all will be operational.
CDE Lightband offices will be closed January 1. In the event of a service outage, customers should call 931-648-8151. Customers can go online for service and bill paying information.
All City of Clarksville offices will reopen Thursday, January 2, for regular hours.
