Chuck E. Cheese’s is now partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters to assist the organization both nationally and locally.

All year long, Chuck E. Cheese’s will allow Bigs and Littles to eat and play at store locations for special rates.

Through April 30, stores will also do a pin up campaign in which customers can donate $1, $5, or a custom amount through a pin-up to be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

About 185 children are currently enrolled in the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program in Clarksville. The Community-Based program is for children ages 6-15 who live in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area. Volunteers over the age of 18 are matched with these children and they participate in a variety of mutually agreed upon activities throughout their match. Big Brothers Big Sisters also has program specifically designed to mentor children who have a parent or other immediate relative or stepparent in state or federal prison. This program is called “Amachi” and caters to this at-risk population of children.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is always in need of volunteers, especially those willing to work in the School-Based mentoring programs, as well as adult male mentors and those willing to mentor Amachi children.

To mentor a child, a person must be over the age of 18, be willing to commit one year or more to the mentoring relationship and spend 4-8 hours each month in quality one-on-one time with the child they are matched with. Prospective volunteers must interview, submit to reference and criminal background checks and complete training prior to being paired with a child.
