CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW)- Clarksville High senior guard Shakiah Vance has been named Clarksville Now Player of the Week following her performance in the Wildcats games during the week of January 12.
During that timeframe, Vance averaged 22 points, 5 steals and 4 rebounds per game, which included dropping 30-points against district rival Kirkwood High School.
“Kiah has been a great asset for us all year. Her efforts to do what’s being asked of her day in and day out are huge,” said Wildcats head coach Ellie Claus. “She’s an important link in our chain, and I can’t wait to see her accomplishments moving forward.”

Vance has been a steady scoring force for the Wildcats in their first year under Claus, while also being the primary ball-handler. This past Tuesday in a win against Friendship Christian, Vance surpassed 1,000 career points.
This season, she’s looking to cement her legacy as another great guard in the long line of them at Clarksville High.
“I’m honored to be considered and chosen for Player of the Week,” Vance told Clarksville Now. “I’m thankful for my teammates’ help in receiving this award, and excited for the rest of the season.”
